Grandma: I’m been eating the crust and the end-slices for 40 years!
Grandpa: (silence)
Grandma: You never pass me the middle slices, and I always tolerated that, leaving the best part for you! That’s how much I love you, George!
Grandpa: (silence)
Grandma: I hope you know that I’ve always given you the best.
Grandpa: (silence)
Grandma: …but to think that you NEVER gave me a good slice of bread from the center?!? Oh George…you are selfish!
Grandpa: (silence)
Grandma: 40 years…what have you done for me?
Grandpa: (silence)
Grandma: (starts to sigh and sob lightly)
Grandpa George sat on the side silently for another few moments until Grandma’s sobbing calmed to a whimper, and finally broke the silence.
Grandpa: Elma…the crust is my favorite part of the bread.
Aww…I wish when I get old, I’ll finally have the time to play online games with my hubby >.< slay monsters and level up up up!!!
